Lil Wayne announces Madison Square Garden release show for ‘Tha Carter VI’
His long-awaited new album arrives on June 6, and he’ll play his first-ever headlining MSG show that night.
Lil Wayne is releasing his long-awaited new album Tha Carter VI on June 6 via Young Money and Republic, and he’ll celebrate with an NYC show that night. It happens on June 6 at Madison Square Garden, and will be his first headlining show at the venue. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 25 at 10 AM ET, with various presales starting Wednesday, April 23 at 10 AM ET.
Wayne also has shows in May, including a couple with his ’90s/early 2000s group Hot Boys (with Juvenile, B.G., and Turk). See all dates below.
Wayne spoke about Tha Carter VI, the Super Bowl, his photo with Donald Trump, and more with Rolling Stone in a recent interview, and told them he focused on collaborations for the new album. It features appearances from Wyclef Jean, Miley Cyrus, Andrea Bocelli, and more, and there’s an uncleared Billie Eilish sample on one track he recorded. It’s currently unclear whether that one will make the album, however; stay tuned.
