‘Law & Order’ Season 24 Crossover Promo Brings Olivia Benson and ‘SVU’ Onto the Case
Law & Order’s crossover pulls SVU into the case after the murder of a victim Olivia Benson once saved.
A jam-pack night awaits fans of the Law & Order franchise next week. The highly anticipated crossover between Law & Order and its spin-off Law & Order: Special Victims Unitairs next Thursday, April 17. Two promos have been released for the crossover event, one for each show. In the promo Lt. Jessica Brady (Maura Tierney) asks Olivia if she knew the victim in their case. And all at once, fans are transported back to Season 7, Episode 3 of SVU. The episode "911" a standout for SVU where Mariska Hargitay's Olivia Benson stays on the line with a girl, named Maria Recinos, that Olivia believes to be buried alive. Now, it seems, that the 2-7 has caught the case of Maria's murder all these years later. Now, Olivia (and other members of the 16th Precinct) are pulled into the case, determined to find Maria's killer, no matter the cost. As Tony Goldwyn's DA Nicholas Baxer explains, "it's too important to just leave it to chance."
