Jets’ Arniel, Capitals’ Carbery, Canadiens’ St. Louis named Jack Adams Trophy finalists
Scott Arniel of the Winnipeg Jets, Spencer Carbery of the Washington Capitals and Martin St. Louis of the Montreal Canadiens were each voted as the finalists for the award handed to the league’s top coach, as voted by the NHL Broadcasters Association.

Let the debate over the Jack Adams Trophy begin.
Scott Arniel of the Winnipeg Jets, Spencer Carbery of the Washington Capitals and Martin St. Louis of the Montreal Canadiens were each voted as the finalists for the award handed to the league’s top coach, as voted by the NHL Broadcasters Association.
In his first season as Jets head coach, Arniel helped the team set franchise records for wins and points while capturing its first Presidents’ Trophy. Under his leadership, Winnipeg also allowed the fewest goals in the NHL to claim a second straight William M. Jennings Trophy.
Carbery, in his second season with the Capitals, helped Washington finish second in the league in points and earn the first seed in the Eastern Conference. Carbery is looking to become the fourth Capitals bench boss to win the Jack Adams and could also to become the first to win the coach of the year honours at the ECHL, AHL and NHL levels.
During his third season with the Canadiens, St. Louis led the team back to the playoffs for the first time since 2021. St. Louis is the Canadiens’ first Jack Adams Award finalist since 2007-08, when Guy Carbonneau finished second in voting, and is looking to become the team’s third winner, following Scotty Bowman and Pat Burns.
