Jamie Lee Curtis to Star In, Produce Psychological Horror Film ‘Sender’

Jamie Lee Curtis will star in and produce the psychological horror film Sender, Deadline reports.

Britt Lower (“Severance”), David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil), and Anna Baryshnikov (Love Lies Bleeding) also star.

The film marks the feature debut of writer-director Russell Goldman, based on his 2022 short Return to Sender, which he adapted into a 2023 Black List script.

Curtis also produced the short, which you can watch below.

Currently in production, the feture follows a woman (Lower) who experiences an e-commerce package delivery scam that becomes so personal and disturbing that she becomes hellbent on discovering the identity of her anonymous sender.

“I am so proud to be a part of Russell’s first movie, the first of many,” Curtis told Deadline. “The little seed that Comet Pictures planted has now grown into a feature filled with talented artists surrounding a new and exciting filmmaker.”

Curtis is producing for Comet Pictures, alongside Molly Hallam and Jake Katofsky. Verve Ventures is representing the film for North American sales.

Curtis and Goldman previously co-wrote the eco-horror movie Mother Nature, which Curtis is attached to direct for Blumhouse.
