Jake Paul issues response to Terence Crawford’s $200 million fight admission

Canelo meets Crawford for the undisputed super middleweight titles in September as part of a card billed as the ‘Fight of the Century.’ Ahead of his meeting with the Mexican superstar, Crawford sat down with former NFL star Shannon Sharpe to discuss his boxing future. He was asked by Sharpe: “Would you fight Jake Paul?” to which ‘Bud’ responded “Nah, nah.” Sharpe followed up: “Is he too big?” and Crawford said: “Yeah, he’s big, but he’s doing his thing. Let Jake do what Jake is doing.” Sharpe then questioned: “What if he’s got $200 million for you?” and Crawford has no hesitation with his response. “I’m fighting Jake Paul,” he said. “Come on Jake. Hey Logan [Paul], forgive me, I gotta fight your brother.” Paul has now responded to Crawford’s call-out for a $200m fight. The 28-year-old hasn’t fought since beating legendary heavyweight Mike Tyson in November.

He has since been linked with a variety of names in the industry who want a piece of the $40million he pocketed from fighting Tyson in front of over 70,000 fans in Texas.

Many of those names include those currently at the sport’s summit, including Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford.

Canelo meets Crawford for the undisputed super middleweight titles in September as part of a card billed as the ‘Fight of the Century.’

Ahead of his meeting with the Mexican superstar, Crawford sat down with former NFL star Shannon Sharpe to discuss his boxing future.

“Terence Crawford, you just made my b**** list,” he said during a short social media clip.

“Come on now, bro. All of these pound-for-pound fighters are too scared to fight me.

“They need $200million to do it…p****.”

Paul was left fuming in February when a deal to fight Canelo collapsed after the latter pulled the plug on their crossover fight to sign a three-fight deal with Saudi Arabia.
