INDIA. Our latest images selection comes courtesy of Ospree Duty Free, which won a major marketing prize at the second annual ET Great India Retail Awards, presented last week in Mumbai.
The company’s Speedbreakers promotion at Mumbai International Airport won Best Customer Engagement & Experience Campaign. The travel retailer said it had been recognised for “outstanding efforts in customer engagement and taking the consumer experience to the next level”.

In a LinkedIn post Ospree Duty Free said: “We believe in creating meaningful moments at Ospree that not only delight our customers but also delivers strong business outcomes. This award is a testament to our team’s hard work and our customers’ trust. We are committed to continuing to innovate and exceed expectations.”
The second Edition of the ET Great India Retail Awards recognised excellence in the retail industry and celebrating achievement among brands and retailers across India, both in the physical and digital space.
As reported, the ‘Speedbreakers’ campaign encouraged passengers to pause and shop at the airport through strategically placed experiential activities.

The campaign highlights include:
- Don Julio 1942 live DJ and liquid tasting: Upon entering the Ospree store, travellers were greeted by the ambience of a live DJ playing popular tunes.
- Ardbeg Circus: This interactive circus-themed animation included entertainment, spin the wheel giveaways and photobooths.
- Meet & greet with Bollywood celebrities: In a country where Bollywood reigns supreme, Ospree Duty Free has repeatedly brought the magic of the silver screen to life by organising meet-and-greet sessions with superstars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Sunny Deol, Ajay Devgn and Kartik Aryan.
- Live Performances: To infuse joy and relaxation into the travel experience, the retailer hosted a variety of live performances that catered to diverse tastes.
