Obi-Wan Kenobi may have ruined Palpatine's plans, but it's not widely known the exact extent he went to do so.
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, returning to theaters on April 25th for a one-week engagement, revealed Emperor Palpatine’s (Ian McDiarmid) machinations coming to fruition, a behind-the-scenes Machiavellian effort that led to the Empire and the sound defeat of the Jedi. In fact, the Jedi never even saw it coming, including Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor). Yet, despite not knowing the Emperor’s plans, Obi-Wan Kenobi did a damn good job of screwing them up, and it’s taken me 20 years to figure it out.
