Benzema was asked if he could overtake Ronaldo before the end of the campaign after his heroics against Al Ettifaq. His focus remains solely on silverware, though, replying: “I don’t care about this my friend. The most important thing is the (SPL) trophy.” The title would be the 37-year-old’s first since joining from Real Madrid in 2023.
