‘He’s a monster’ – Jake Paul names only boxer he refuses to fight

Jake Paul fancies his chances against most of the biggest names in boxing. ‘The Problem Child’ was close to finalising a deal to face Canelo Alvarez in May before Turki Alalshikh came in with a lucrative four-fight offer in the eleventh hour. Paul is 11-1 as a professional boxerGetty A report has since emerged disclosing that Paul was also in negotiations to box WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis in the summer. However, the crossover clash collapsed when Davis was held to a contentious draw with Lamont Roach earlier this month. Paul also fancies his chances against two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. But he admits David Benavidez would be a step too far. “When my manager is talking about fights, the only no is you,” he said to Benavidez during a recent taping of the BS w/ Jake Paul podcast. “I will not fight this f****** guy. He is a monster, bro. I would f***** die. “I want to fight Anthony Joshua because I know I will f***** beat Anthony Joshua’s a***. “He doesn’t have a chin, and he has no skill and he is stiff. “I love you, Anthony and we are friends. But I want to fight you. “I will beat Canelo, I will beat a lot of people. Benavidez is the WBC interim light heavyweight championGetty “I would not beat David Benavidez.” Benavidez’s career is currently in a precarious situation, with an undisputed light heavyweight clash against Dmitry Bivol now seemingly off the table. The WBC interim light heavyweight champion attended Bivol’s rematch with Artur Beterbiev last month in the hopes of landing a fight with the winner. However, after Bivol levelled the tally with a majority decision win, Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh is now pushing for a rubber match. Alalshikh had previously expressed interest in bidding on the bout, although he has since changed his mind. “I am no longer interested in Bivol-Benavidez and I will not bid on it,” Alalshikh told Ring Magazine earlier this month. “I think Bivol knows who has delivered for him and who hasn’t. “My advice to Bivol: don’t be late because every day something changes.” Follow talkBOXING on social media talkBOXING is now on Twitter and Facebook.
