Samsung could host its second Unpacked event of 2025 in early July. We’re expecting the company’s next foldables to take the spotlight.

Leaks have already revealed a lot about the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Now, a new report adds even more. According to TechManiacs, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset instead of Samsung’s Exynos 2500. That’s a good sign for performance.

The report also claims Samsung will make the Flip 7 thinner and bump the outer screen up to 4 inches. For reference, the Flip 6 has a 3.4-inch cover display. The Flip 7’s cameras will stay the same: a 50MP main sensor paired with a 12MP ultra-wide shooter. No big surprises there.

Battery life should get a boost though. Samsung is expected to pack a 4,300mAh battery inside, up from 4,000mAh on the Flip 6. As for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung is apparently pushing hard for a thinner design. Folded, it could measure just 8.2mm thick.

That would be a major improvement over the Fold 6’s chunky 12.2mm folded size. The inner folding display could also grow slightly, from 7.6 inches to 8 inches. It’s not a huge jump, but still noticeable.

On the camera front, Samsung might swap the Fold 6’s 50MP main sensor for a new 200MP shooter. However, the 12MP ultra-wide and 10MP 3x telephoto lenses will likely stay the same as last year’s setup.

Price-wise, there’s some debate. One leak says the Fold 7 will cost around €100 (~$113) more than the Fold 6. Other reports suggest Samsung might keep the price the same to stay competitive. We’ll have to wait and see.

With the event just a couple of months away, it won’t be long before Samsung confirms everything.
