Samsung has started rolling out its Android 15-based One UI 7 software update to a handful of additional Galaxy smartphones. This comes after a week-long pause, as Samsung had to address some bugs.
Samsung starts rolling out One UI 7 update to the Galaxy S22 series, Fold 4, Flip 4 & S23 FE
In any case, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Flip 4, S23 FE, and Galaxy S22 series devices are now getting One UI 7. The rollout did start in Korea, but other markets will start getting the update very soon, if they haven’t already by the time you see this. We know that the European rollout for the Galaxy Fold 4 and Flip 4 has already kicked off.
These devices follow the lead of a number of other phones, which received the update in the last couple of weeks. That includes the Galaxy S24 series, S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Fold 5, Flip 6, Flip 5, and more.
This update brings major changes to Samsung’s Android UI
With that being said, this is a huge update. It brings some major UI changes that Samsung announced with Android 15. In addition to that, new animations are being rolled out to the devices, and the ‘Now Bar’ as well.
Samsung already delivers new Galaxy AI features with this update, and some security improvements as well. The Quick Panel now looks better than ever, and so on. This is the biggest One UI update in years. Well, at least as far as the sheer look of Samsung’s Android skin goes.
For those of you who are wondering, yes, this update also includes the latest security patch, the one for April 2025. So you’re getting both the latest features, a new version of Android, and the latest security patch as part of the same update.
