Vector Sport has signed Pietro Fittipaldi to complete its LMP2 driver lineup in the European Le Mans Series.

The Brazilian, grandson of two-time Formula 1 world champion Emerson Fittipaldi, will pilot the No. 10 Oreca 07 Gibson alongside the previously confirmed pairing of Ryan Cullen and Vlad Lomko.

Fittipaldi will embark on his second full season in ELMS, last competing in the series in 2022 with Inter Europol Competition and scoring a podium at Spa-Francorchamps.

Outside of ELMS, the 28-year-old has also gained LMP2 experience in the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and is set to dovetail his European program with a drive in the latter series for Pratt Miller Motorsports.

“I would like to thank the team for their trust and confidence in me,” Fittipaldi said.

“I am very happy for the opportunity to race for Vector Sport, and am excited for the first race.”

Vector is set for its second season in ELMS, having joined last year after the LMP2 class was removed from WEC.

It scored its first podium in the series at Imola, where Cullen, Stephane Richelmi and Felipe Drugovich finished third.

“Vector Sport are very pleased to have signed three drivers with significant LMP2 experience at the highest levels,” said team principal Gary Holland.

“The drivers have all proven pace and some standout performances in the current ELMS format.

“We know how difficult it is in ELMS and we feel very confident of an extremely competitive line up in what has proven to be the most closely contested category in endurance racing.

“We cannot wait to get on track for 2025, it has been a long time away from a race but our preparation for the upcoming season started a long time ago and we are eager for the first race.”
