As with any good reality show, fans often wonder if American Pickersis real. In the last few seasons, itlost some of the freedom it had when the show began, but it appears that American Pickers is authentic. American Pickers launched Mike Wolfeand Frank Fritzto fame, which ironically made the spontaneous hunt for vintage pieces more difficult. At times, the structured nature of reality television can make American Pickers feel staged, but Mike Wolfe insists the show is completely real—even if many of the leads are planned.
