easyJet is putting two new winter routes on sale between London Gatwick and Manchester to the Scandinavian Mountains. easyJet is the only UK operator to connect the UK with the Scandinavian Mountains – a brand new destination in easyJet’s network.

The new weekly flights from London Gatwick and Manchester will take off for the first time on 6 December and operate every Saturday throughout the winter season.

The new services to Scandinavian Mountains, which becomes easyJet’s 161st destination on its expansive network are on sale from today. No other operator currently has direct flights on sale from the UK.

Swedish-based Scandinavian Mountains Airport sits on the border with Norway and offers an extensive array of winter activities. The region boasts some of Europe’s finest skiing and snowboarding, with seven nearby resorts and over 260 well-groomed slopes suitable for all skill levels to choose from.

Beyond the stunning slopes and trails, the Scandinavian Mountains area is rich in culture and relaxation opportunities for visitors. Customers can explore local heritage sites, indulge in Nordic cuisine, or unwind at one of the many spas and wellness centres.

Ali Gayward, easyJet Country Manager, said: “We are really pleased to be the only UK airline flying to Scandinavian Mountains and further expanding our choice of winter destinations for customers with two new routes to this stunning destination for skiers and winter sports enthusiasts. Our new routes from London Gatwick and Manchester to this new Nordic destination will start in December and continue to strengthen our network and offer even more choice for our customers across the UK.

Gunnar Lenman, CEO of Scandinavian Mountains Airport, said: “Welcoming easyJet with two new routes from the UK is fantastic news for both the airport and the entire region. It underscores the attractiveness of the region and the airport and is the result of excellent collaboration. It significantly improves accessibility, and we truly look forward to welcoming even more British visitors to the area.”
