Dwight Yorke tells Man Utd to sign Brighton star and axe struggling defender
'He has something about him and is exactly the character that United need.'

Manchester United should try to offload Luke Shaw and sign Brighton’s Pervis Estupinan this summer, reckons former Red Devils striker Dwight Yorke.
It is set to be a big transfer window for the Red Devils as Ruben Amorim hopes to finish it with a squad he is much happier with than the current one at Old Trafford.
It has been an extremely difficult start to life at Manchester United for the Portuguese coach, although he could end this season with a significant plus by winning the Europa League.
Lift that trophy or not, there is set to be a lot of changes in personnel, with the Red Devils looking to get rid of a number of players and replace them.
Yorke reckons two names are obvious, with the iconic former striker feeling Crystal Palace and England star Eberechi Eze is one candidate, while Brighton’s Estupinan should replace the injury-prone Shaw.

‘When you’ve played the game you know who is a baller, so I’m surprised pundits haven’t called for United to sign Eze despite watching every game every week,’ Yorke told FastSlots.
‘It’s not rocket science, maybe defenders have different views. [Michael] Olise went to Bayern but I still think United should go and get Eze.
‘He is the right age at 26 and I think he is a top footballer with great decision making. He has something about him and is exactly the character that United need.’
At left-back, Yorke suggested: ‘The second player would be Pervis Estupinan from Brighton.
‘He is a great athlete and gets up and down the pitch, he really understands the position and is so mobile.
‘He’s a versatile player and I think United need that energy down the left. Luke Shaw is not the player he used to be with all his injuries and it’s time to move on, United are struggling and maybe it’s down to not moving players on when they should’ve done.’
The only signing under Amorim so far has been at left-wing-back, with Patrick Dorgu arriving from Lecce in January and seemingly making that position on the left flank his own.
It seems unlikely that Manchester United would make left-wing-back a priority in the summer having just bought Dorgu in the winter, especially as funds need to be spent elsewhere.
However, with Shaw regularly struggling with injuries and Tyrell Malacia out on loan at PSV and likely to move on this summer, Amorim may want more options in the position.
Shaw has made just six Premier League appearances this season, three of which have come in the starting XI.
The England international is still just 29 years old, but Manchester United may have now lost faith in his ability to play regularly enough to be a valuable member of the squad.
