‘Dragon Ball’ Manga Is Getting a Special Re-Release For Its 40th Anniversary
The original Dragon Ball manga is getting a special re-release to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Here’s what we know.

As hard as it is to believe, Dragon Ball is already 40 years old. Little by little, the franchise is rolling out celebrations for its landmark anniversary. One of the biggest ones, however, was announced this week via the Dragon Ball official website. The manga series that started it all is being re-released in a 42-volume box, and every issue comes with two covers: the original one drawn by franchise creator Akira Toriyama and a second one illustrated by a new artist. The massive box is already available for preorder and Jump Comics intends to release it on February 4, 2026.
