Deion Sanders laughs at the idea of Browns selecting Shedeur and prays he’s drafted by an NFC team in unseen footage

Footage has since come out of the Hall of Famer hinting at where he would have liked to see his son go. The footage was taken weeks before the draft, before anyone had any idea that the younger Sanders would fall so low in the draft. The interviewer in the video asked Prime if he was thinking about his son going to the Browns. The Colorado head football coach had a quick reply. “We are praying for the Giants right now, yes, we are,” Sanders answered. Unfortunately for Sanders, his prayer was not answered. Not only did the Giants pass on the young QB with the third overall pick, to add insult to injury, they traded back into the first round and selected Jaxson Dart, the quarterback out of Ole Miss. Including the Browns taking Dillon Gabriel in the third round, making their selection of Sanders in the fifth round a bit puzzling. However, at the end of the day, Sanders will get the opportunity to prove he belongs. And while his dad was hoping it would be in New York, he’s going to have to get used to Cleveland. All eyes will be on the 23-year-old quarterback as he gets accustomed to life in the NFL. One thing is for certain, this ain’t Boulder no more.

By the time it was all said and done, five quarterbacks were selected before Sanders.

Including the Browns taking Dillon Gabriel in the third round, making their selection of Sanders in the fifth round a bit puzzling.

However, at the end of the day, Sanders will get the opportunity to prove he belongs.

And while his dad was hoping it would be in New York, he’s going to have to get used to Cleveland.
