An AI-created deepfake video of several pop culture figures sporting “Fuck Kanye” t-shirts has gone viral in protest to the rapper’s recent string of controversial social media posts.
Over the last two weeks, Kanye West – now legally known has Ye – has courted unprecedented levels of controversy. Last week, Kanye attended the Grammys red carpet with his wife Bianca Censori, who wore a see-through dress revealing her fully nude figure.
After that, he revealed in an interview that he has autism and believes he had been misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2016. He also shared that he had stopped taking his bipolar disorder medication.
He then made his return to X (formerly Twitter) by voicing his support for Diddy and Chris Brown, and urged for the former to be released from prison amid sexual abuse allegations.
His X posts grew increasingly more concerning as he began to claim “dominion” over his wife Censori and went on a rant withdrawing his apology to the Jewish community for past anti-Semitic comments, as well as declaring himself as “a Nazi” and a slew of other demeaning posts that targetted several communities.
Following the Super Bowl on Monday, Kanye West directed followers to his site, were a single item that was on sale – a white t-shirt with a large swastika on the chest listed as “HH-01”. The garment was priced at $20, with the listing’s name of “HH-01” possibly a reference to the ‘Heil Hitler’ chant that would accompany Nazi gestures. The site has since been taken down, and Kanye’s X account has been deactivated.
In protest to the swastika tee and his comments against the Jewish community, a new deepfake AI video has been shared on social media with the caption “enough is enough”. The viral clip features the likeness of Mark Zuckerberg, Scarlett Johansson, Drake, David Schwimmer, Jerry Seinfeld, Ben Stiller and more sporting a white t-shirt with the Star of David in the middle of a middle finger emblem and Kanye’s name written beneath it.
"Enough is enough."
