Iron Lynx has finalized the driver lineup for its LMP2 entry in this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Reshad de Gerus joining Maceo Capietto and Jonas Ried.
Frenchman de Gerus will share the No. 9 Iron Lynx-Proton Oreca 07 Gibson for the FIA World Endurance Championship blue riband, switching over from the Duqueine outfit with which he usually competes in the European Le Mans Series.
“It is with a lot of desire and ambition that I will be back at the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year,” said de Gerus, who will be making his fourth start at La Sarthe and finished on the LMP2 class podium last year with IDEC Sport.
“I am very honored to be joining Iron Lynx for this edition of the race. The team already has a great history, with the victory at the 24 Hours of Spa in 2021 and many other major successes.
“We’re going to try to write a new chapter in this journey, even if we must remain humble in the face of a race like Le Mans.
“I was born in Reunion but have been living in Le Mans for seven years now, and it’s amazing to be able to say that my home race is the biggest event in the world of motorsport.
“A great challenge lies ahead, but together we have the tools to go for a very strong result.”
