CHELSEA were WINNERS against Tottenham, and climbed back into the top four with three points. Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke all returned from injuries to feature for Enzo Maresca‘s side. Chelsea had the better chances in the first 45, but Jackson, Enzo Fernandez and Jadon Sancho were unable to take any of their efforts. Enzo Fernandez did get the ball rolling in the second half, scoring from a header after a great cross from Cole Palmer. VAR then had a heavy hand in the game, as Moises Caicedo and Pape Matar Sarr both saw strikes ruled out by the referee. Tottenham had a lot of the ball in the 12 minutes of added time, but Ange Postecoglou’s side were unable to make anything of the chances.
