Assassin’s Creed Shadows Game Length & Time to Get Platinum Trophy Revealed

Barring Assassin’s Creed Mirage, modern entries in Ubisoft’s popular open-world action-adventure game are long. Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla are all monstrous games packed with quests to complete and collectibles to collect. So, it may not be surprising to hear that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be on par with those experiences, boasting a large campaign and tons of activities to partake in. More importantly for PlayStation players, this means getting the Platinum trophy may take longer to earn than most games.

How long is Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ story and Platinum trophy?

In a recent interview with Genki, Assassin’s Creed Shadows creative director Jonathan Dumont revealed roughly how long it will take to complete the upcoming game. For the main story, Dumont suggests it will take players 30 to 40 hours to complete. For players looking to see everything Ubisoft’s interpretation of Feudal Japan, says it could take over 80 hours when paired with side content.

As previous Assassin’s Creed entries tend to task players with doing much of the side content, it can be assumed PlayStation players will play as Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke for over 80 hours in order to obtain the coveted Platinum trophy.

This really doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility, especially if the game is as large as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which takes roughly 120 hours to get the Platinum according to PowerPyx. The games preceding the Eivor-led adventure don’t take nearly as long. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Origins take roughly 60 to 70 hours to get the Platinum, with Mirage being a comparably streamlined experience that takes around 20 to 30 hours.

Although it may potentially take numerous hours to complete, Assassin’s Creed Platinums are typically pretty easy to obtain. This seems to be the case for Assassin’s Creed Shadows as its trophy list is pretty straightforward.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows launches on March 20 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
