As a manager, how can I handle an employee who says "I disagree with you, but let us discuss with XYZ" where XYZ is my manager?
I am a manager to an employee who has his own opinions and way of working. Some problem statements we cannot have straightforward yes/no solution and there is maybe. In those cases, most of the time employee prefers his approach rather than mine. I have often left it this way but recently I feel he has misunderstood this gesture as I am incompetent and whenever, we come to this kind of discussions, he says let us take the opinion of my manager. How can I handle this? This employee and my manager are in same location, but I am in different location.
