Arsenal’s lack of firepower will be exposed by Real Madrid in Champions League quarter-final
The Gunners could be in for a tough night.

Arsenal have one last chance to win silverware this season as their Premier League ambitions slowly disappear down another sinkhole but the reason they have not enjoyed any domestic success is the same one which will stop them winning the Champions League.
It’s getting rather boring now but the Gunners really need a high-class goalscorer, someone who will at least feature among the most prolificin the English top flight.
There are 16 marksmen who have scored ten or more Premier League goals this term, starting with Mohamed Salah who has bagged 27 for Liverpool and stretching all the way down to his Reds team-mate Luis Diaz and Fulham forward Raul Jimenez, who both have one more than Kai Havertz, the Gunners’ leading goalscorer on nine.
Their last ten goals in all competitions have been scored by nine different players but that includes the 7-1 home romp at PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League and they won’t find Real Madrid as generous when they breeze into London for the first leg of a quarter-final showdown with Mikel Arteta’s men.
Real were shocked 2-1 at home to Valencia on Saturday and are four points behind bitter rivals Barcelona as LaLiga draws to a close but they are going to be too strong for the Gunners and can return to the Spanish capital with a first-leg lead, especially as the home defence has been weakened by the loss to injury of key defender Gabriel.
