Arne Slot’s side only needed a point to take an unassailable lead in the title race but produced a show for their fans at Anfield to win the league in style. With Liverpool running away with the league title, Arsenal will have to settle for a third successive second-place finish. The Gunners are currently in the runners-up spot on 67 points, five ahead of third-placed Newcastle United with four games to play. Conceding first made it difficult, but they always find a way to win. ‘Incredibly proud, but not only of the players. Everyone knows what effort they’ve put in over the last few years.
