Tomorrow, 8 March, is International Women’s Day, a momentous day of celebration and action in the global and travel retail calendars.
Global travel retailer ARI is leading the way through words, deeds, convictions and a compelling partnership with The Moodie Davitt Report involving a makeover of our desktop homepage, along with an elegantly curated treatment of our mobile website.
International Women’s Day is a time of collective global activism which celebrates women’s achievements and urges the world to call for a gender-equal future.
This year’s theme is Accelerate Action. It highlights the urgency of implementing swift and effective measures to achieve gender equality.
It calls for intensified efforts to dismantle systemic barriers and biases that women encounter in various spheres of life. According to the World Economic Forum, at the current pace, full gender parity may not be realised until 2158, emphasising the need for immediate and concerted action.
The Moodie Davitt Report’s homepage has been transformed this week to feature prominent women from ARI’s global operations with a series of inspiring interviews.
ARI’s International Women’s Day campaign falls under the banner, ‘Empowering today, transforming tomorrow’. The campaign features women from across ARI’s global estate who participated in the travel retailer’s Global Retail Leaders programme.
In addition, The Moodie Davitt Report’s female team members are taking over the company’s social channels to mark the day. They have asked their fellow women in travel retail how they are accelerating action within and outside of their organisations and will be featuring their responses on LinkedIn and Instagram over the next few days.
The Moodie Davitt Report has also interviewed ARI Executive Sponsor for DE&I Tom Byrne on the company’s pledge to inspire inclusion not just on International Women’s Day but all year round.
The comprehensive makeover celebrates the diverse roles and significant contributions of women within the company, reflecting the broader mission of IWD to honour women’s achievements and advocate for gender parity.
