An Iconic '70s Rock Legend Once Starred in This Forgotten Neo-Noir Crime Mystery You’ve Surely Never Seen

Jumping right in, Union Cityis one of those strange little movies that’s easy to miss but hard to shake once you’ve seen it. Released in 1980 but set in the 50s, it’s a slow-burn mystery that combines old-school noir vibes with an unsettling, dreamlike edge. At the center of it all is Blondie’s Debbie Harry in her film debut. This time, she’s not the edgy punk icon people knew from the stage but a quiet, repressed, and borderline ignored housewife who’s hiding a lot more than she lets on. However, the story itself is focused on Harlan (Dennis Lipscomb), a buttoned-up accountant who becomes completely obsessed when someone keeps stealing his morning milk.
