Nielsen Racing has recruited James Allen and Sergio Sette Camara to complete its LMP2 Pro-Am lineup in the European Le Mans Series.

The two drivers will team up with team stalwart Tony Wells aboard the No. 27 Oreca 07 Gibson, which will head into the season with a revamped lineup as part of the seven-car Pro-Am class.

Last year, Nielsen tackled the season with John Falb and Colin Noble forming the core of the lineup, while Albert Costa and Nick Yelloly both served as the third driver at various stages of the season.

The team went on to finish fifth in the Pro-Am standings, capturing class podiums in both the Barcelona season opener and the Portimao finale.

The British squad has now recruited Allen, who took the overall LMP2 title with Algarve Pro Racing in 2023 and makes the move from Duqueine Team.

The Australian captured his second Rolex 24 at Daytona class victory driving for United Autosports earlier this year and previously also secured back-to-back LMP2 Pro-Am wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The 28-year-old comes fresh off a season in the Asian Le Mans Series, where he formed part of the RD Limited lineup that won the Sepang season opener and launched a title bid in the first season of competition for the Romain Dumas-led squad.

Sette Camara, meanwhile, is set for his first season in LMP2 competition after a lengthy tenure in various forms of single seater racing.

The Brazilian spent three seasons racing in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, capturing three race wins, before spending five seasons in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

He joined Boutsen VDS for a one-race appearance at last year’s GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup round at Monza, finishing eighth alongside Maximilian Goetz and Thomas Drouet.

Finally, Wells, the mandatory Bronze-rated driver, steps up to full-time LMP2 competition for the first time.

The 60-year-old has a wealth of LMP3 experience and has competed with Nielsen Racing since 2015.

He embarked on a partial LMP2 Pro-Am campaign last year, contesting four races with Team Virage and finishing fourth in class at Imola alongside Matt Bell and Nelson Piquet Jr.

The ELMS season opener will take place at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on April 6.
