Alice Hewkin (“The Amateur,” “Sex Education”) has joined the cast of Craig Gillespie’s “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” at DC Studios.
Hewkin will play the role of a Sklarian Raider in the movie, a group of female space pirates from DC lore who first appeared in “Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes” in 1977.
The casting is seen as a surprising one because Sklarian Raiders are not in the “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” limited series comic by Tom King and Bilquis Evely which this film is an adaptation of.
Then again, Lobo is not in the original DC Comics mini-series but is a key part of the action here with Jason Momoa filming scenes for weeks on the project.
Milly Alcock stars in the movie as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, and Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze.
Several cast members like Momoa and Krumholtz have already wrapped their scenes, with the overall production expected to finish filming any day now.
“Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” is slated to release on June 26th 2026.
