There’s a new special number plate series under Putrajaya – A-A, with numbers 1 to 9999 in between. Brings to mind Kuala Lumpur’s old W-A series, which was introduced in 2013 and discontinued in favour of the V series in 2016, although of course prefix-and-suffix plates are de rigueur for East Malaysia.
Announced at JPJ’s 79th anniversary celebration at Stadium Indera Mulia, Ipoh today, A-A is now open for tender. The bidding period on JPJ eBid is five days, ending 10pm on April 23. As usual, the results will be out the following day. The whole process is online now, as it has been for some time, and bidders will get the good (or bad) news via email.
