The Volvo XC60 has been revised for the 2026 model year with an updated look and revised equipment, now wearing a front grille that resembles that of its larger sibling the 2025 XC90.
Here, the lower section of its front fascia retains some resemblance of the current iteration of the XC60, while at the rear the tail lamps receive darker lenses. The 2026 XC60 also gets new wheel design options, while the selection of exterior paint colours gain Forest Lake and Aurora Silver, along with Mulberry Red.
Key updates to the XC60 are in its infotainment delivered through a larger, 11.2-inch screen with a new-look user interface, which Volvo says has been “designed to be a safe and enjoyable way” to interact with the car’s central infotainment screen. This is now more personalised compared to its predecessor, with several Google services built in.
This infotainment update for the 2026 XC60 is part of Volvo’s roll out of its new infotainment user experience for all of its new cars produced from this year. The revised infotainment will also be pushed over-the-air to cars manufactured as early as 2020, says Volvo.
The updated infotainment system gains a next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon Cockpit Platform chip, enabling the Google built-in services-equipped infotainment to operate more than twice as fast as the system it succeeds, resulting in a more responsive system.
In terms of interior materials, the 2025 XC60 gets quilted Nordico upholstery and navy herringbone weave, and Volvo claims that the five-seater SUV’s cabin is now even quieter and more comfortable with optional air suspension and laminated windows.
Available in its specification is the Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity audio system, now with a new speaker mesh design. Meanwhile, the 2025 XC60 also gains cabin air purification.
The latest update for the XC60 comes as its future battery-electric sibling, the EX60 has been confirmed for debut next year, which should mean that the internal combustion-engined XC60 will likely carry on for some time alongside the EX60, like the 2025 XC90 does alongside the battery-electric EX90.
Exact powertrain specifications for the 2025 XC60 have yet to be detailed, though this should remain close to the current line-up in Europe that includes the 250 hp B5 AWD 2.0L turbo petrol mild-hybrid, the 300 hp B6 AWD 2.0L turbocharged and supercharged petrol mild-hybrid and the 455 hp (462 PS) T6 AWD 2.0L plug-in hybrid.
In Malaysia, the Volvo XC60 is currently priced at RM357,888 in 462 PS/709 Nm T8 Ultra plug-in hybrid guise according to the Volvo Car Malaysia website. This brings a panoramic roof, wireless phone charging and Pilot Assist ADAS, while interior upholstery is by Nappa leather, leatherette and fabric.
