10 R-Rated TV Shows That Are Almost as Great as 'The Sopranos'
Few shows aimed at adults are as good as The Sopranos, but a few, including Six Feet Under and True Detective, do admittedly come pretty close.
Trying to find a show that’s literally as good as The Sopranos is an exercise in futility, since nothing is quite as good. It’s perhaps the ultimate crime show, and yet it’s so much more than a TV show about crime, working as a dark comedy, a family drama, something psychology-focused, and, quite simply, just a work of fiction that captures a certain reality about life in America during the early 21st century (even though it did admittedly start airing in the late 1990s).
