Your Fate Lies in the Hands of Community in Psychological Horror Game ‘SCP: CONTROL ERROR’ [Trailer]

Chieftain Artworks and Goonswarm Games have another title for the SCP community in SCP: CONTROL ERROR, a short psychological horror set in a Cold War-era underground facility that’s now available to wishlist on Steam.

Taking place in 1985, SCP: CONTROL ERROR puts you in the shoes of Barry Gittings – a man who has volunteered for a classified experiment inside the Vortex Complex, a remote underground facility established during the Cold War. No one explains what’s being tested, and no one tells you who’s watching.

Once inside the complex, you’ll move through sealed chambers, completing immersive environmental puzzles and cognitive experiments, and uncovering the story through reports, surveillance, and what others left behind by others who were part of the same protocol. And the twist for all of this? After finishing the game, players vote on what happens next through the game’s official Discord, shaping the future of the story together, in true SCP fashion.

The game doesn’t branch. The experiment evolves. And what happens next depends entirely on the players, not the developer.
