Sam Lowes took pole position during World Superbike Superpole qualifying Saturday at TT Assen Circuit, in the Netherlands. Riding his ELF Marc VDS Racing Team Ducati Panigale V4R on the 3.34-mile track, Lowes recorded a lap time of 1:32.596, which was not only good enough to top the 23-rider field and secure pole position it also eclipsed the All-Time Lap Record Razgatlioglu set, 1:32.934 in 2022.
Rookie Nicolo Bulega qualified second with a 1:32.760 on his Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Panigale V4R.
2024 WorldSuperbike Champion, Toprak Razgatlioglu did a 1:32.815 on his ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team M1000RR to earn the third and final spot on the front row.
Row two starters include Bimota Kawasaki Racing Team’s Axel Bassani (1:32.899), Bulega’s teammate Alvaro Bautista (1:32.901), and Pata Maxus Yamaha’s Andrea Locatelli (1:32.959).
Danilo Petrucci finished 7th with a time of 1:33.130 on his Barni Spark Racing Team Ducati Panigale V4R.
American Garrett Gerloff qualified 17th with a 1:33.646 on his Kawasaki ZX-10RR.
