World Snooker Championship 2025 results, scores and schedule for Day 10

The second round of the World Snooker Championship comes to an end on Monday, with just eight players remaining by the end of the day’s action.

It already feels a long time ago that defending champion Kyren Wilson was beaten on the opening evening of the tournament, but there remains a fair distance to cover yet, with the quarter-finals beginning on Tuesday.

Plenty of big names have fallen, with the likes of Mark Selby and Neil Robertson joining Wilson in losing in the opening round, but a string of heavyweights remain in the tournament.

The two quarter-finals we already know see Class of 92 legends Mark Williams and John Higgins face each other, while Zhao Xintong and Chris Wakelin battle it out in the first appearance at this stage for both men.

It looks set to be a very short evening session on Monday as Ronnie O’Sullivan leads Pang Junxu 12-4 and Luca Brecel is ahead of Ding Junhui by the same scoreline in a race to 13.

The Crucible crowd will be hoping for as much play as possible, but an exhibition from some snooker legends looks most likely.

The quarter-finals begin on Wednesday and are played over the same best-of-25 distance that the second round matches are.
