White House fountain gets green makeover for St. Patrick's Day

Then-first lady Michelle Obama, inspired by a St. Patrick's Day celebration in her home city of Chicago, first arranged for a fountain at the White House to be dyed green in 2009.

Dyeing the Chicago River green for St. Patrick's Day has been a longstanding tradition in the Windy City.
