What should I do if I keep missing points of interests in my work?
So I'm a somewhat new outsourced employee currently working in a bank's IT department (about 4 months in the bank). During the course of my job so far, I am often handed smaller parts of the projects, mainly in testing. Whenever I try solving the many issues, I can get the job done, but I keep missing points of interests that I should've paid more attention to, e.g. some holes/details left out of the explanations from colleagues, or more detailed aspects that aren't explained in the documentations. Unfortunately for me, I often only realized these when I was asked to explain my work to my supervisor or boss - which of course results in me not being able to answer several questions properly, if not, at all. This was not something I've had a lot of problems with, since my previous jobs/projects I've mainly dealt with things I at least have a greater understanding of, and/or could simply Google the answer to. How do I fix this habit of mine, and where exactly should I start with it? TL;DR: How do I fix the habit of not realizing that something in my work needs a further line of questioning?
