What looks worse on a resume - gap after graduation, or unrelated certificate?
I graduated from college in Field A. I did a “post baccalaureate certificate” in Field B the year following graduation but decided I hated Field B and got a job in Field A where I’ve been working several years. If I go to apply to jobs in my current field, should I leave the unrelated post bacc off my resume? It seems disjointed. On the other hand, that creates a year long gap after college graduation. Which looks worse?
