Rumors have been circulating for the last week that Dave Grohl would make an appearance at Coachella this year, and on Saturday (4/19) he did just that, joining the Los Angeles Philharmonic with Gustavo Dudamel for their weekend two set. They did orchestral renditions of two Foo Fighters songs, “Everlong” and “The Sky Is a Neighborhood,” and you can watch video below.
LA Phil had guest-filled sets on both weekends, with Laufey and Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso joining them for each. They also brought out Maren Morris and LL Cool J on weekend one, and Natasha Bedingfield and Cynthia Erivo on weekend two. See their weekend two setlist below.
This was Grohl’s first public performance of Foo Fighters material since he issued a statement on the baby “born outside of my marriage” in September. Earlier this year he took part in the Nirvana reunions at FireAid and SNL50.
