‘The View’ Host Sara Haines Goes Off on ‘Pathetic’ Jabs Between Dems and GOP: ‘Stop Fighting Like Little Wieners!’ | Video

Sara Haines is not usually the most fired up host of “The View,” but on Friday morning she went off on both Republicans and Democrats, yelling at them to “stop fighting like little wieners.”

The outburst came as the ABC hosts discussed the censuring of Democratic Rep. Al Green this week, after he protested Donald Trump on the House floor during the president’s joint address. The motion to censure was approved, with 10 Democrats voting yes on the move, which stunned host Sunny Hostin.

“Representative Green gave them the example, the Democrats are not meeting the moment,” Hostin said angrily, encouraging moderator Joy Behar (leading the discussion as Whoopi Goldberg is off on Fridays) to read the names of all 10 Democrats.

But at this point, Sara Haines has had enough of the public fighting from both parties, instead begging them to simply focus on doing their jobs.

“They have a job to do, and what they keep doing is not doing their job,” she said. “Censures are like a slap on the wrist, and all they want to do is ‘It was him, it was her, it was this.’ They fight against each other rather than work with one another. We send them there to make make legislation to move the ball forward.”

Haines then called out specific issues that are in focus right now, including a possible government shutdown, jobs at the VA and military aid and intelligence sharing to Ukraine being suspended.

“Those are problems that people care about. Stop fighting like little wieners in D.C. and start answering to your constituents!” Haines bellowed. “This censure stuff, even that we talk about — Do we want it? Who voted? Who — this is all pathetic!”

At that, host Sunny Hostin chimed in to note that it was primarily Republicans who voted to censure, prompting Haines to note that that was just an example she chose to call out, before then calling out Democrats’ recent actions.

“Stop singing in there, stop holding up signs, stop censoring the left and then the right, and then screaming at each other, you’re feckless!” Haines retorted.

Behar was quick to point out that the word Haines was looking for was “censuring” not “censoring,” as they have two very different meanings, but Haines barreled on.

“I don’t care. You’re feckless,” Haines continued. “And what they are doing is having more fun fighting with each other, putting on their partisan jerseys than they are representing the constituents that voted them.”
