The Google Pixel 10 is going to be a massive upgrade, and we’re not just talking about hardware. With the Pixel 10, Google will introduce a new, even smarter digital assistant called “Pixie” or Pixel Sense, which is the official name for the feature.

According to Android Authority’s exclusive report, Pixel Sense will allow Google to finally achieve its dream of creating a truly smart and contextual assistant. Google has attempted several assistants in the past, such as Google Assistant, which in all fairness is pretty decent, and later on a smarter version of Google Assistant with Gemini capabilities.

However, these efforts have fallen short of their mark, but that’s something Google wants to fix with Pixel Sense. Pixel Sense is a fully on-device assistant designed for the Pixel 10 phones. This means that some of the processing will be done on the user’s device, making it faster and more private. It will tie in with other Google services to enhance its capabilities. This also means that it will probably rely on Gemini Nano.

A report from The Information from 2023 indicated that Google has been working on the feature for the past few years. Google originally intended for Pixie to launch alongside the Pixel 9, but it did not make the final cut. Now, alongside the Pixel 10’s
