Thai Sci-Fi Horror ‘There’s Something Wrong With the TV’ to Unleash Cursed Antique Object

An antique television is set to wreak havoc in Thai horror sci-fi film There’s Something Wrong With the TV. As production is prepping to get underway from Bangkok-based Night Edge Pictures, Variety reports that the feature has found its star.

There’s Something Wrong With the TV is currently in pre-production with plans to release release in the first quarter of 2026.

Sukollawat Kanarot (Thirteen Lives) has been set to star in the horror movie being directed by Lertsiri Boonmee (SLR), Vutichai Wongnophadol (SLR) and Sathanapong Limwongthong (“Chef’s Table”).

The cursed object film follows “teenager Kla and his best friend who discover a mysterious antique television set hidden under the stairs. When powered on, the TV reveals four children apparently trapped inside and held captive by sinister forces. Kla recruits his father Krit (Kanarot) to help rescue the children from the mysterious world within the television, unaware of the truly wicked nature of the device.”

“Horror and sci-fi are two of the most profitable genres in the market, and we couldn’t be more excited to produce ‘There’s Something Wrong With the TV‘ along with other international partners,“ Hans Audric Estialbo, producer and CEO of Night Edge Pictures, told Variety.

Night Edge Pictures is also behind the recently announced horror movie Death Dial, which was brought to the European Film Market for international buyers.  There’s Something Wrong With the TV, a title not to be confused with I Saw the TV Glow, will be shopped to international buyers at Hong Kong FilMart, so stay tuned for distribution news as it arrives.
