Tennis icon and former Man Utd star ‘split up’ after nine years of marriage

Tennis icon Ana Ivanovic and ex-footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger have ‘split up’ after nine years of marriage, according to reports in Germany.
The duo began their relationship in 2014 and got married two years later with a lavish three-day celebration in Venice, which cost around €1million.
Ivanovic and Schweinsteiger have a total of three children together – Luka, Leon, and Theo – and have always appeared to enjoy a happy family life.
The pair have long been known for their seemingly perfect relationship – but according to German outlet Bunte – they have now separated.

Ivanovic and Schweinsteiger were considered a sporting power couple given their various achievements in their respective sports.
Schweinsteiger won eight Bundesliga titles and the Champions League at German football club Bayern Munich before playing at Manchester United.
The 40-year-old is fourth-most-capped player of all time for the Germany international football team and helped them clinch the World Cup in 2014.
Ivanovic, meanwhile, is a former world No.1 in women’s tennis and won the French Open singles title in 2008.
The 37-year-old Serbian landed a total of 15 WTA Tour singles trophies and was also a runner-up at the Australian Open in 2007, with her best performance at Wimbledon coming in 2007 with a run to the semi-finals.
Why did Ana Ivanovic and Bastian Schweinsteiger break up?
It’s important to note that they are yet to officially confirm the news and have not made any public statements about their alleged break-up.
But according to the reports in Germany, Ivanovic and Schweinsteiger went their separate ways around two months ago.
When were Schweinsteiger and Ivanovic last seen together?
Schweinsteiger and Ivanovic were last spotted together in December, visiting a Christmas market in Vienna.
They also attended the Laver Cup tennis tournament in September, which was held in Berlin.
Schweinsteiger and Ivanovic posted a joint Instagram story two weeks ago – but this was a pre-produced promotional video – as part of their work as brand ambassadors for fashion company BRAX.
Ivanovic is thought to be living in Belgrade with their three sons – aged seven, four and one – while Schweinsteiger is on his own in Munich.
German outlet Bild reports that Schweinsteiger and Ivanovic’s relationship became difficult due to the pair not spending much time together.
They’re often separated by thousands of miles – with Schweinsteiger travelling a lot as a football pundit – while Ivanovic remains at home.
