talkSPORT betting tips – Best football bets and expert advice for Sunday 2 March
Sunday’s football action is highlighted by two more games from the fifth round of the FA Cup and both feature on our list of tips alongside an intriguing Scottish Premiership clash between Aberdeen and Dundee United. BET £10 GET £30 IN FREE BETS ON TALKSPORT BET Sunday football tips Bet of the Day Fulham to beat Manchester United @ 7/4 Manchester United got the better of Ipswich 3-2 in the Premier League on Wednesday night, but it was another unconvincing success and the Red Devils could be vulnerable to Fulham in the fifth round of the FA Cup. Ruben Amorim’s men lost the shot count, corner count and came off second best on the expected goals figures against the struggling Suffolk side, and while Patrick Dorgu’s first-half red card will have played its part in that, United remain a poor and disjointed team. The Red Devils have won six of their last 16 matches inside 90 minutes and it’s pretty straightforward to pick holes in all of those victories. United were fortunate to beat Southampton, Rangers, Leicester and Ipswich on that run and Amorim’s men registered only one shot on target when getting the better of Fulham in a January Premier League clash. The Cottagers have won four of their five matches since losing to the Red Devils and Marco Silva’s men are fancied to turn the tables in the cup. Longshot of the Day Dundee United to beat Aberdeen @ 11/5 Dundee United have lost six of their last eight Scottish Premiership matches, but the Terrors have faced Celtic twice, Rangers, Hibernian, Hearts and Kilmarnock on that run and the performances have been a little better than the results suggest. Aberdeen snapped their 14-game winless run in the league when beating Dundee earlier this month and the Dons followed up by getting the better of Kilmarnock. However, those victories were far from convincing and they were then hammered 5-1 by Celtic in a gruelling midweek contest. Aberdeen still have plenty to prove and Dundee United offer value to leave the Granite City with all three points. Special of the Day Brighton draw no bet v Newcastle @ 13/10 Brighton travel to Newcastle for a fifth-round FA Cup tie in good form and the Seagulls look a bet to progress to the next round of the competition. Fabian Hurzeler’s men got the better of a good Bournemouth side 2-1 on Tuesday night and that result followed a 4-0 success over Southampton. Prior to that, Brighton twice downed Chelsea and the 3-0 Premier League success over the Blues was a seriously impressive result. Newcastle are a good side, who have mustered some excellent performances this season, but the Magpies have also thrown in a few shockers. Eddie Howe’s side have been beaten at home by Fulham, West Ham, Bournemouth and Brighton in the Premier League this season and the Seagulls look well placed to repeat their heroics from their last visit to St James’ Park in October. At 13/10, taking Hurzeler’s men in the draw no bet market looks the best way to play Sunday’s contest in the north east.
