Series co-creator and executive producer Dean Devlin confirmed the renewal with the new run to shoot this year ahead of a 2026 airing.
The story is set a century in the future as humanity attempts planetary colonization to ensure its survival.
The second season saw the crew of Ark One struggling to secure a new home for themselves and other incoming ships while facing numerous survival challenges.
After establishing a base on an unknown planet, the new season will see them continuing to search for other lost Arks.
The cast includes Christie Burke as Lt. Sharon Garnet, Richard Fleeshman as Lt. James Brice, Reece Ritchie as Lt. Spencer Lane, Stacey Read as Alicia Nevins, and Ryan Adams as Angus Medford.
Devlin co-showruns the series with “Stargate SG-1” producer Jonathan Glassner, the pair having previously collaborated on The Outpost.
The first two seasons are currently available for streaming on Peacock.
