The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R will make its GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup debut as part of a 59-car full season entry, released on Thursday.
Steller Motorsport, which acquired a pair of cars and began on-track testing in January, will field a two-car entry in the Bronze Cup category.
The addition makes Chevrolet the tenth brand represented on this year’s Endurance Cup grid, joining Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche.
The total number of full season entries has grown compared to last year, when 55 cars signed up to contest the full Endurance Cup schedule.
While Chevrolet is not featured in the top class, defending champions AF Corse return with a two-car Ferrari entry and will face off against previously confirmed entries from the likes of GetSpeed Performance, Team WRT, Boutsen VDS, Winward Racing, Rutronik Racing and CSA Racing.
As previously reported by Sportscar365, defending CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa winners Comtoyou Racing return with their Pro-class Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, joined in the British camp by Walkenhorst Motorsport.
Haupt Racing Team will field a pair of Ford Mustang GT3s, including one in Pro, under the HRT Ford Performance banner, while Vincenzo Sospiri Racing enters the No. 163 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 to replace Iron Lynx.
GRT Grasser Racing Team will maintain its presence in the Pro category with the No. 63 Lamborghini, having taken victory at the Nürburgring last year.
Porsche is represented by the returning Rutronik, Pure Rxcing and Schumacher CLRT squads in the fight for overall victory, while Garage 59 returns with McLaren.
Of note, Audi will not be represented in the Pro class for the first time in championship history, as both Tresor Attempto Racing and Sainteloc Racing field cars in other classes instead.
The Silver Cup category, in which Attempto and Sainteloc both feature, ties the Pro category for the most cars at 17, with GetSpeed, Boutsen VDS, Comtoyou, Grasser, WRT, Walkenhorst, Century Motorsport, Dinamic GT, VSR, HRT, Barwell, CSA and Paradine Competition making up the grid.
The Bronze Cup category consists of 16 cars, which will BMW Italia Ceccato Racing step up to a full season entry while the likes of Rinaldi Racing, Kessel Racing, Lionspeed GP, Herberth Motorsport and Ziggo Sport Tempesta Racing all return.
Finally, the nine-car Gold Cup category will feature the series return of Team RJN with a single McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, the debuting Verstappen.com Aston Martin effort and a full-time Lamborghini entry from German squad Paul Motorsport.
New to the entry list is Nordique Racing, hailing from Germany, which also enters a single Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo in the class.
Sprint Cup Entry Boosted to 41 Cars
Similarly to the Endurance Cup entry, the Sprint Cup has also seen full season growth as 41 cars have signed up compared to 38 last year.
Defending drivers’ champions Lucas Auer and Maro Engel will share the No. 48 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG in a Pro field that features new competition from Aston Martin, Ford and Lamborghini.
Walkenhorst Motorsport fields a single, Pro-class Aston Martin, while Ford steps into Sprint Cup with a two-car effort from HRT and Grasser fields a top-class Lamborghini entry for the first time since 2019.
“I am immensely proud to share the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS entry lists for 2025,” said Stephane Ratel, founder and CEO of SRO Motorsports Group.
“We have once again received huge interest in both the Sprint Cup and the Endurance Cup, while the participation of 10 manufacturers – all of which will compete in the global GT World Challenge powered by AWS – underlines the importance of this series.
“The grids have grown thanks to the addition of new teams and expansion among our existing competitors, which tells us that GT3 racing is in a very strong position as it approaches its 20th anniversary.
“It is also noteworthy that the field is more evenly spread, with no single class contributing above the others. With all of this in mind, I am certain that another extremely competitive season lies ahead.”
