Roy Keane leaves Sky Sports studio shocked with surprise destination for Kevin De Bruyne

Roy Keane joked Kevin De Bruyne should join Manchester United when his time at Manchester City comes to an end. The Belgian star announced earlier this month that he will leave the Citizens as a free agent once his contract expires at the end of June. De Bruyne joined Manchester City in 2015Getty In his ten years at the Eithad, De Bruyne has been a focal point in a dominant City side, winning the six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups and one Champions League. With the 33-year-old going down as one of the greatest players in both the history of the club, and the Premier League, news of his imminent departure has seen him linked with a number of clubs. The MLS and Saudi Arabia have been touted as potential next destinations, with Inter Miami understood to be keen. But Man United legend Keane had a more practical, and controversial, suggestion for the playmaker when discussing his future on Sky Sports before City’s 2-1 victory over Aston Villa on Tuesday. Joining him in the studio was former Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given, who stressed the quality De Bruyne can still bring to a team. Given said: “He has lit up the Premier League for so long. “Kevin will admit he is not at his peak but you can see he still has a lot to offer. He can turn up at another Premier League club and that is a concern for City.” Keane then playfully quipped: “United? He wouldn’t have to move house,” prompting laughter from his fellow panellist. Given later added: “If he thinks he is still good enough he might think he can have another season in the Premier League.” The discussion over whether De Bruyne could remain in the top-flight next year came after he refused to rule this out when speaking to the media about his future on Saturday.
