Team WRT will field a second Pro entry in the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup round at Misano as Valentino Rossi returns to the series in a one-off capacity to race on home soil.
The Belgian squad will enter the No. 46 BMW M4 GT3 EVO for Rossi and fellow BMW factory driver Raffaele Marciello for the third round of the Sprint Cup on July 18-20.
Rossi has a strong previous track record at the Misano round, having taken two race wins there in previous years.
The nine-time motorcycle world champion stepped away from GTWC Europe competition this year to focus on his commitments in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
In addition to the No. 46 car, WRT will also field its full season Pro car for Kelvin van der Linde and Charles Weerts, while also competing in Silver Cup and Gold Cup.
