Described as “the demonic lovechild of Balatro and Buckshot Roulette“, developer Panik Arcade and publisher Future Friends Games have announced their slot machine roguelite horror game, CloverPit. Slated for release later this year on Steam, you can give CloverPit a go with the demo that’s currently available on the game’s Steam page.
CloverPit sees you trapped in a hell of your own creation. Locked in a rusty cell with a slot machine and an ATM, you must pay off your debt at the end of each round, or end up taking the plunge.
Luckily, you can manipulate the slot machine to earn extra coins, as well as turn the odds in your favor with various prizes and charms that trigger big combos that can set you off on a lucky run. Bend the rules, break the game, and pay off your captor long enough to earn a shot at freedom.
Along with the 150+ items you’ll unlock, players will also be working towards one of the multiple endings for CloverPit. And if you’ve polished off the story, you can always push to get the high score in the game’s Endless Mode!
And just in case you’re wondering, CloverPit is a roguelite horror game, and not a slot machine simulator. The slot machine is designed to be broken and ultimately overcome, and will never ask you for real money.
