Rangers star brands Celtic Park a ‘s***hole’ after dramatic Old Firm victory
A derby match for the ages.

Dujon Sterling appears on a mission to become public enemy number one at Celtic Park after labelling the stadium a ‘s***hole’ in the wake of Rangers’ dramatic Old Firm victory over their bitter rivals.
Hamza Igamane stunned Celtic with a thunderous strike beyond Kasper Schmeichel to give Rangers a 3-2 lead in the 88th minute and the visitors held firm to consign the Scottish champions to their first home defeat since 2023.
The Moroccan’s moment of brilliance came after Celtic had managed to claw their way back into the contest, with goals from Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate cancelling out Nicolas Raskin and Mohamed Diomande’s earlier efforts.
But the result saw Rangers’ caretaker boss, Barry Ferguson, become the first manager to win their first match at the ground since Walter Smith way back in 1991.
There were raucous celebrations in the away end as Igamane’s thumping effort almost burst the back of the net and Celtic supporters were left fuming after Vaclav Cerny was seen spraying nearby fans with a water bottle.
Intent on riling the Parkhead faithful further still, Rangers defender Sterling later took to social media to celebrate the memorable Scottish Premiership win, using the opportunity to take aim at the historic stadium.
‘Huge shift by everyone today at that s******* – it doesn’t get much better!’ Sterling told his followers on Instagram.
‘There’s more to come Gers [love heart emoji, football emoji].’
Sterling also shared a well-known meme of the rapper 50 Cent uncontrollably laughing to his Instagram stories, rubbing yet more salt in the wound.
The former Stoke and Blackpool man put in a superb display on the right side of Rangers’ back three, producing a crucial goalline clearance and finishing the game without being dribbled past.
Clinton Nsiala was sent on in place of Sterling for the closing stages, though, with Ferguson taking a cautious approach after the defender was shown a yellow card.
Rangers closed the gap on leaders Celtic to 13 points with the victory and a ‘delighted’ Ferguson paid tribute to his side’s ‘characterful’ showing in the immediate aftermath.
‘I’m delighted. In the first half I thought we were immense and they did everything I asked of them,’ Ferguson told Sky Sports shortly after the final whistle.
‘I knew at half-time that Celtic would come out and have a go at us. I’m disappointed with their two goals, it’s something that we need to work on and get better at.
‘But what’s the big word that everybody’s thrown against this team? Character, they start feeling sorry for themselves. Well, there was a prime example that they don’t feel sorry for themselves.
‘They’re starting to listen and they’ve been brilliant to work with over the last three weeks, they’re starting to learn.
‘Even the darker side of the game we have to be better, but you’re seeing signs that we’re getting there. There’s still room for improvement.’
Rangers captain James Tavernier, meanwhile, praised the ‘resilience’ his team showed across a rollercoaster Old Firm derby.
‘Obviously happy to get the result,’ Tavernier said.
‘We had a really good first half and maybe sat off a bit much second half.
‘Delighted to get the three points. It’s been a good week for the club. We showed resilience, we were brave on the ball and took our chances. We were clinical.
‘With the character we’ve shown in the past few weeks, we had belief to the end and Hamza pulls off a great goal. Delighted for the boys.’
