Prime Video Releases Exclusive 11-Minute Opening Scene For ‘The Wheel Of Time’ Season Three

Prime Video has unveiled an exclusive first look at the highly anticipated third season of The Wheel of Time, releasing an action-packed 11-minute opening scene now available to stream. Fans eager for a glimpse of what’s to come can find the special sneak peek at the end of the third episode of Reacher Season Three, which also debuted today.

The third season of The Wheel of Time is set to premiere globally on Prime Video on March 13, 2025. Based on Robert Jordan’s best-selling fantasy book series, the show is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios. Season Three draws heavily from The Shadow Rising, the fourth novel in Jordan’s beloved series, promising new and breathtaking adventures in the Westlands.

The opening scene teases a magical confrontation between good and evil. A secretive group of sorceresses, sworn to the Dark One, emerge from the shadows, setting off a brutal and world-altering battle. The stakes have never been higher as The Wheel of Time expands its scope, taking viewers beyond Tar Valon to a host of new locations, including the vast deserts of the Aiel Waste, the dangerous port city of Tanchico, and the mysterious, fog-enshrouded city of Rhuidean.

Season Three will kick off with a three-episode premiere on March 13, 2025, followed by weekly episode releases leading up to the season finale on April 17, 2025.

The ensemble cast returns with Rosamund Pike reprising her role as Moiraine Damodred, alongside Daniel Henney as Lan Mandragoran, Josha Stradowski as Rand al’Thor, Zoë Robins as Nynaeve al’Meara, and Madeleine Madden as Egwene al’Vere. The cast also includes Marcus Rutherford, Dónal Finn, Ceara Coveney, Sophie Okonedo, Kate Fleetwood, Natasha O’Keeffe, Ayoola Smart, Kae Alexander, Priyanka Bose, Taylor Napier, Hammed Animashaun, Meera Syal, Jennifer Cheon Garcia, Johann Myers, Jay Duffy, Laia Costa, Isabella Bucceri, Olivia Williams, and Shohreh Aghdashloo.
